A great antique snake ring - so many coils! I loved how her head and neck are raised separately from her body, as if she’s mid slither up your finger…. A pear shaped diamond in her head. There is some casting pitting around her face. Fully hallmarked for being made in 18ct, in Chester, in either 1876 or 1883 (the gothic N and U date letters are very similar). There’s also the maker’s mark B&B. She weighs a very substantial 11.3 grams. Size 8, but works on smaller fingers because of her great width.
