A coral Bacchante, with grapes and vine leaves nestled in her long coiled hair. Lusciously folded fabric spills around her shoulders. Beautifully and softly carved. Three chunky acorns dangle below. Italian, dating to the mid 19th century. A brooch and also a pendant - the fittings are gold. I love it’s scale - not too big, not too small.
