MEGA lava cameo…. In its original, turquoise velvet box. It depicts Athena, resplendent in her jewels and armour. It’s best lava carving I’ve ever had. Details include Pegasus flying astride her helmet, a matched set of coral earrings and necklace, the individual scales of her armour, and her enigmatic smile. The mount is high carat. The pin twists off, the clasp folds back, the jump ring for the bale folds out. The bale itself has its own space in the box. Charming detail. Hand written on the back is ‘Z. T. Godfrey Droitwich from J. C. Nov 1895’, though this cameo is earlier
