A 19th century French cluster pendant, with a secret…. it’s paste! Seriously, you’d be hard pushed to know this wasn’t diamonds - I thought it was when I first saw it in someone’s case!! That big fat cushion cut is delicious. Imagine the price of a real diamond that size! It’s very finely made - to level of a diamond piece. The ‘diamonds’ are set in silver, as real ones would’ve been at the period, and the back and bale are 18ct gold. It’s stamped with a French eagle head denoting 18ct.
