A bold navette of onyx, curved beautifully to its edges, back and front - a lot of extra work on the part of the lapidary to create the look. Central to the onyx is a highly symbolic pearl studded buckle, modelled in high carat, which follows the same navette shape. Hung from a quatrefoil of gold leaves, and then a fully enamelled large bale (original enamel, a small chip that doesn’t go through to the gold, as seen in photos). A glass is found to the reverse. This is a stylish piece, but also on top of that, it’s incredibly sentimental.
